Instructions
- In a saucepan, combine sugar, cream, apple cider, and butter over medium heat.
- Stir constantly until the mixture comes to a boil.
- Continue to cook while stirring until the mixture reaches the soft ball stage (234°F).
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla, salt, chopped apples, and nuts.
- Pour into a greased pan and let it cool completely before cutting into squares.
