Ingredients

- 2 pounds beef chuck, cut into cubes
- 4 cups beef broth
- 4 medium potatoes, diced
- 3 carrots, sliced
- 1 onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon tomato paste
- 2 teaspoons dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
Instructions
- Thoroughly brown the beef in a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Transfer the beef to the crockpot along with the remaining ingredients.
- Stir well to combine.
- Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or on high for 4 hours.
- Adjust seasoning to taste before serving.
Notes
- For a thicker stew, mix a tablespoon of cornstarch with cold water and add it during the last hour of cooking.
- Feel free to add seasonal vegetables!
