Description

Indulge in the rich and decadent flavors of our German Chocolate Cheesecake, a delightful twist on a classic dessert that combines smooth cheesecake with the beloved taste of German chocolate cake.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cups cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup shredded coconut
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C).
  2. In a medium bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, cocoa powder, and melted butter. Press the mixture into the bottom of a springform pan to form the crust.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese and sugar until smooth and creamy.
  4. Add in the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.
  5. Melt the chocolate chips in a microwave or double boiler and let it cool slightly before adding to the cream cheese mixture. Mix until well combined.
  6. Fold in shredded coconut and chopped pecans into the mixture.
  7. Pour the cheesecake filling over the prepared crust.
  8. Bake for 45-55 minutes, or until the center is set but still slightly jiggly.
  9. Allow to cool at room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight before serving.
  10. Garnish with additional coconut and pecans if desired, and serve chilled.

Notes

  • Ensure all ingredients are at room temperature before mixing for a smoother batter.
  • For an extra touch, drizzle with chocolate ganache before serving.
