Description

A delicious and indulgent twist on traditional meatloaf, combining the comfort of mac and cheese with turkey bacon.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 8 ounces elbow macaroni
  • 4 slices turkey bacon
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the macaroni according to package instructions, then drain and set aside.
  3. In a skillet, cook the turkey bacon until crisp, then chop into pieces.
  4. In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, macaroni, turkey bacon, cheddar cheese, milk, egg, and seasonings.
  5. Transfer the mixture to a loaf pan and shape it into a loaf.
  6. Bake for 1 hour, or until the meatloaf is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  7. Let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • For a creamier texture, add more milk or cheese.
  • Leftover meatloaf can be used in sandwiches.
