- 2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup salsa
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
Instructions
- Place the chicken breasts in the slow cooker.
- Add salsa, chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
- Stir to combine and coat the chicken.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
- Once cooked, shred the chicken with two forks and mix it back into the sauce.
- Stir in fresh cilantro before serving.
Notes
- This dish can be served over rice or in tacos.
- Adjust the spice level by adding more or less chili powder.
